Anyone know this kit car?
number-1 - 4/2/23 at 04:40 PM

Just seen this on eBay.....I really like the look of i. Its different but stands out. Does anyone have any knowledge of it? Apparently is a Vauxhall calibra??

Any idea what makes it a Calibra? Chassis that's been amended to make it look like it does?

Looks interesting, bit about the v5 needing the colour changing worries me a bit but.....

That's not the vehicle reg but the donor car - it's registered as a q plate. Apparently.

If the car is legit, why would the seller not advertise with the Q plate. Could just be an oversight by owner not realising it comes across as dodgy. Doesn’t say if it went through IVA to get a Q plate. I would be sending the seller some questions before sticking a bid on.

The whole thing says Ringer to me. In none of the pictures does the car look finished enough to have gone through an IVA test, and yet the seller claims it has a Q reg and the colour just needs changing on the V5….. I would guess I that one of the donors was an old kit car that was correctly registered but I would be amazed if the extent of changes made since then should not need IVA and a new registration.

My thoughts exactly, would bet lots of money its a dutton on paper.

Seems a coincidence that the alleged Calibra donor was green.

Apparently the car is registered as a green Spartan and has a reg of Q238RBD

I saw this car in primer and rust about 12 ~ 15 years ago, I'm sure it was a VW beetle chassis and used that registration which would be fine. I have photos of the car somewhere I will try and find them

Cheers

Not if the reg number says it's a Spartan.

My point was the car may of been properly registered in the past, so why they would change that I don't know. I never checked what it was registered at the time so it may of been a spartan all along
