Are propshaft supports needed?
Piooly - 15/5/15 at 12:54 PM

Do you need supports for the propshaft for the IVA test? The ones for if your propshaft came off...

My test is in a couple of weeks and I would struggle to add them..

thanks

no.

Prop catcher? No don't think so.

Nope, but still worth fitting them if you can.

Not needed but I'm fitting one each end. Don't think 1mm of alloy plate will stop 7kg of 6000 rpm ripping through my leg if it lets go!

It is disturbing how an obviously effective safety device is not included in IVA, but a sharp corner that a pedestrian might graze their leg on is an instant fail...

Not an IVA requirement but a good idea if you can fit. Just needs to be enough to keep the prop close to aligned to prevent it flailing.
