Wilwood M16 calipers
trialsman - 19/3/17 at 12:21 AM

I am trying to find some Wilwood calipers to fit the front of my British made Locost here in the US of A. It has the 1979 Escort MK2 running gear. Burton and the UK ebay show a bracket that comes with the calipers Escort Mk2 Wilwood 4 Pot M16 Replacement Brake Kit Midilite Brake Calipers SOLID
The the only Wilwood M16 calipers here in the US were for the Mercury (Ford) Capri. They show nothing or say nothing about any brackets included. Wilwood factory is no help. Do I need this bracket? Where can I get the brackets? I am trying to save some money by buying them here in the States. If I import them from the UK it is going to be several hundred dollars more. Thanks, Russ

The Wilwood range is imported to the UK by https://www.rallydesign.co.uk/index.php and they put together the kits you have seen. If you give them a call they might sell the bracket on its own. It's only a relatively simple cut/drilled/tapped bracket but it's a proven desgin with many kits sold over here.

Hi,

In the USA, Outlaw is making an M16 calliper. I used to work for the French importer and Outlaw callipers are very good, quality and all. Their range is a copy/paste of a selection of Wilwood's range.

Worth a check?

Hope that will help
