So I've never been too happy with my brakes, In 'feel', performance and the rears having to be bled upside down

Currently have all Sierra calipers. 260mm vented fronts and 239.5mm solid rears.

Looking at these two options for the front axle...

260mm Solid Disc @ £331.50

Anyone have any experience of these, all tips/advise welcome.

Will I notice/need the additional 180quid for vented discs.

What brake pads are you using they can make a massive difference to brake feel I fitted mintex 1144 to my striker and it transformed the brakes and feel .

I swapped the fronts for the solid disc powerlites and the rears for 10" discs off a xr4x4... that did the job better than the standard Sierra bits.

I use powerlights and solid brakes on my 540kg Striker. With 1144 they are monsters. I will do 30+ mins sessions with no fade at all. I am also the last of the late breakers, they give me so much confidence. The tyres however go off in about 10mins so I have to do a slower lap to let them cool down.

The only negative I can say about the willwoods is that they are a special shape pad so, if like me you run out of pads half way through a track day, you are unlikely to find a local stockist.
