What is a lowlift clutch
r1_pete - 9/9/19 at 11:10 AM

As title, I thought it was a fwd, so the bellhousing could be kept shallow....

I have 2 friction plates for my 24v Cosworth V6, one marked lowlift, one not marked as such, the lowlift has thinner linings and seems a lot softer......

Now confused...

Cheers.

Pete.

Its 240mm 23 spline, stamped lowlift, it does have more damping springs on the flywheel side than the normal 2.8/3.0 V6 plate, but otherwise the same dimensions.

Id always assumed it was the pressure plates that were different, needing less movement to dis engage...
