Source for 4 way stretch vinyl
DaveFJ - 31/1/11 at 10:19 AM

As per Subject, does anyone know where I can get some 4 way stretch black vinyl in the UK?

only place I can find is in the US and shipping is expensive

re-making dash at the moment and going to need the 4 way stretch to get a neat finish, the usual 2 way stretch stuff just wont play nice with compound curves

I used normal vinyl for my seats and dash, and it all worked fine,
Just use a hairdryer to soften the materil slightly

My dash was made to sva rules

would be fine for a flat dash but i decided to get all fancy with my new one and it's got compound curves and recesses and all sorts to try and cover.... rod for my own back and all that!

Try these people. They sometimes do the kit shows as well, and sell offcuts cheap. Good small carpet bits as well.

Got 7"x16" on the front and 8"x16" on the rear... 205/45s front 245/30s on the rear

a bit overkill but almost impossible to unstick the rear in the dry (wets another matter!)

Had big issues with the rears as i ordered them with an offset i calculated and after i had recieved everything alse they conatcted me to say they couldnt do the offset i asked for. the resulting wheels stuck out of my arches by 15mm so i had to cut and space my rear arches with 2 weeks to go to SVA!

will have a looksy and see if i can work out what offsets i have/wanted as i cant remember right now sorry

Try Martim in Cheshire. They had a huge range of vinyls, leathers, cloths, all sorts when I went there to choose the upholstery for my campervan.....

highly reccomended
