I am fitting an electronic boost controller but its designed for internal use. Has anyone got a suggestion where to fit it so that it doesnt get wet but is visible when driving?

I thought about putting it on a hinge under the dash maybe? anyone done this?

I figured that under the dash somewhere was as good a place as any. I ended up mounting my ECU on the passenger side of the gearbox tunnel, for easy access. I put my intercooler temp gauge/switch on the dash with the rest of the stuff. I'll try to do some pics once i get the hazards working again (always something).

From my model car racing days anything electronic was put onside a stretched open balloon with 2 plastic ties on the neck with sealant between the two plastic ties on the wiring
Works very well for items that don't get hot or require air

Also an ip 54 or higher enclosure with durable cable glands or wires at the bottom
( again watch the airflow or heat requirements)

What an excellent idea!

However, I can see myself trying to stretch the balloons around things, having them go riiiiip, and then finding my wiring was crap to begin with. like the dishes, it is sometimes better to let dry "naturally".

The only snag is that i need to see it when driving and adjust it possibly. RK try a Johny lol. an enclosure with a clear lid could be a possibility or a clear lid hinged on the dash somehow thanks on_eighty

To be honest, in all the years driving in british 'summer' the clocks on my car dont really get all that wet on the move.
