2007 R1 engine pack
gixermark - 17/10/14 at 08:39 AM

Hi Guys,

another engine for sale (same mate!!)

this is a 2007 R1 - fully set up for install in a car - AB sump mod, etc.

complete with loom, ECU, clocks & throttle bodies & airbox 750 quid. this engine has done VERY little

power commander & autotune box 200 quid for both (not available separately)

this is a clean/fresh install that would cost a LOT more to source and have ready to run.

HI Guys,

have had a couple of messages asking location...... engine is in N Ireland and can be well packaged onto a pallet/shipped.

Have a 'bump' from me.

I had no intention of going back to BEC, but the completeness and price of this package really tested me. Sanity (old age!) prevailed and I'm going to stick with the Sigma transplant for the Striker.

I've spoken with Colin and he was very helpful. He will pack the engine carefully on a pallet and will ship to the mainland at minimal cost.

Sorted sump, full electrics, dash, tuning boxes, sprocket to prop flange... it's all there! You just need an exhaust manifold, prop and pipework to suit your application and you're good to go. Good provenance too - came from AB Performance and the sump mod is theirs.

It really is an absolute steal for someone.

Someone snap it up before I change my mind!

PS - it's the 2007/8 R1 lump... lots of extra torque over the 2004/6 model.

correct...... it is a total steal !! and colin does not skimp on things - it was all the right gear.. and this engine has done VERY little.

i'm actually surprised it hasnt gone, we priced it to just sell on

Hi Scootz

Thought I would put you out of your misery, I've just put a cheque in the post

Gixermark, thanks very much for posting this advert.

The engine will be going in the latest version of the Fletcher Hornet - the Mk5, which will have a monocoque aluminium honeycomb body tub instead of the aluminium clad steel spaceframe.

good man Hornet - you will not be disappointed.... great motor
