I havent seen one anywhere, i was looking for the same thing myself.

I would be interested in the replys, i even thought of trying to mould one myself from the casing of a standard type but i have no idea where to start !

do you want real CF (of course you do!) or the fake stuff (noooo)

i think CBS, premier wiring, svc, etc all do fake CF ones

Have you looked into the led strips for lighting your plate.

Its small and makes for a less cluttered rear

one thing i saw was back lit plates nice but costly less is more

However one must remember rust is lighter than carbon fibre

Why not use the 3M Di-noc carbon fiber film?

There should be laws against that.

i'm thinking of recessing my plate (frenching?) and putting LED strips round it, like the old alexander Y type leyland leopards but with leds

I watched on discover channel an episode of WHEELER DEALERS where they used the 3M Di-noc film and the result was superb. Lamborghini uses the same stuff for they're cars in matte colors.

blakep82 - 12/11/09 at 03:08 PM

if Lamborghini jumped off a cliff, would you do it too?

i still stand my original thing, use the real thing, or don't do it at all

I got my Carbon Fibre number plate light from www.carbonwezel.co.uk. They do two, the old Mini style and the newer Mini style. I got the old style.
