Im guessing the injection ones run a higher pressure ?

Hi yes they would be to powerfull for carbs

samjc - 16/9/14 at 10:24 PM

Guessing a fuel pressure regulator would be the next idea or would it be cheaper to buy a external carb bike pump ?

Yes you want an external bike pump for carbs. We sell brand new items for £70. Drop me a message or email enquiries@danstengineering.co.uk for more info.

GSXR600 has an in tank pump for carbs. Not sure which model years used it, I have one in my tank.

Looks like this one. I picked mine up significantly cheaper though, cant remember how much now though.

Suzuki 1996 2000 Srad GSXR 600 and 750 Fuel Pump

The Ducati 750 and 900 SS pre IE models, had carbs and in tank pumps, but probably like trying to find rocking horse droppings....

An external pump from any carbed bike will do the job, I used an electronic SU type car pump with ZZR1100 carbs, no problems....

Cheers for the replys, noticed a couple on ebay of just the pump unit itself suitable for the gsxr600 but at £30 new im concerned they may be cheap tack. Anyone used any of the sort from ebay ? Says they run 3bar at 110liters per hour.

That's an injection pump. Bike carbs run at less than 3psi.

Would this work:

http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&id=151394719161&alt=web

Asked the seller and he is unsure but is around 2psi mark.

Idealy dont want to buy the full landrover v8 setup as ive already made my mx5 unit fit nicely so just after either a replacement in tank pump or ill feed a pipe into a filter sock and use an external pump.
