Anyone use RDG Tools?
jps - 21/12/18 at 09:45 AM

I am looking at getting some stuff from RDG Tools (http://www.ebaystores.co.uk/RDGTOOLS-ONLINE-LTD) - thought i'd see if anyone on here has good experience with the stuff they're selling?

Yes have bought stuff for lathes- tail stock chucks, sleeves and adapters. No problems and good service. Worth looking at Chronos too.
Depending on what you are buying aim tools can be very competitive in price but not used them yet.

Cheers - in this instance it's a hand reamer - but it's good to know if someone is a good supplier! Thanks for the info :-D

I have been very happy with RGD and with Chronos on quality and service. Having been in engineering for fifty years equipment doesn't seem to have the "feel" of stuff from a while back but it has been fine in my home workshop.

Same here, always had good service from RDG, and the stuff is well priced and more than adequate quality for hobby use.

I've had a couple of bits for my lathe. Good service and usable quality.

I've bought lots of stuff from RDG and Chronos over the years. Mostly what I would call "good home engineering quality" rather than "commercial quality". The price reflects this though!

Also worth looking at Tracy Tools for drill bits and reamers. Quality is generally very good, and service is remarkably quick. I have had the occasional dud item from them, but they've replaced stuff by return of post at no expense to me.

Used both RDG and Chronos

RDG do/did a 5% loyalty card as well.

Also started using Cutwell and mscdirect for cutting tools.
MSCdirect do monthly offers and some time come up with good bargains.

Had good service and decent quality from Arceurotrade too

MPs

I agree about MSC Direct, they do medium or high quality industrial tools at really good prices. With an account they deliver locally, anything, free. And you don't need to spend much.
