Single pole switches for lights

Hi. It's been a few years since I've posted on here. Sold my Haynes roadsters a few years ago.

Anyway, on with a new project now and up to the wiring stage.

I've got some flush mounting single pole switches for my lights, if I have the side lights wired to one switch and the dipped beam on a separate switch is this ok for IVA? Or do the side lights have to come on with the dipped beam?

I can't find it saying one or the other in the IVA manual. Can anyone help?

The side lights should stay on with dip beam.

Thanks for the reply. That's what I assumed, but is it actually in the iva manual anywhere? I can't see it...

Needs thought about tail lights.
If you use 2 switches, then you will need to use diodes to stop the dipped beams coming on when you switch the sidelights.
Plan b may be to use the sidelight switch to power up the dipped beam switch. (then relays for the actual dipped and indeed main beams.

Yea. My dipped beam relay can take care of that. I'll just feed the 12v to the coil from the side lights and use the dipped beam switch on the relay coil earth
