Classic car insurance group
speedyxjs - 25/6/09 at 06:14 AM

Im thinking about starting a mobile servicing bussiness next year in between college. I have found a website that specialise in insuring 21-24 yo's but they say i need a small car, group 6 insurance or below.
I would like to use a classic car/van but cant seem to find anywhere that shows the insurance groups of classic cars.
Can anyone help?

Classic cars don't have insurance groups I'm afraid.

You ned to get in touch with a specialist insurer (all the kit car ones do classics as well, Footman James, Adrian Flux, Sureterm, HIC, 2gether, etc, etc).

For a young person with a classic... the best people to talk to are MSM... £400 fully comp on my TVR

Something like a morris van or old landrover 110 would do wouldnt it?

Landy would be perfect. I just looked at their website and it actually says, small car group 6 or less OR van up to 2500cc so a landy would suit perfectly

For anything remotely classic, id talk to Hagerty . Im now running a Lotus Elise and they were 3 times cheaper than any other quotes i had. £235 Fully Comp.
