like this for example. (ok, it's a convertible).

Apart from the bananana references, any pros/cons? Rescued attachment media.jpg

Yes i would , i have no problems with colour as i owned a yellow Lotus 7 many moons ago. It brought lots of attention, so not a good colour for a get away car though

eddie99 - 5/3/10 at 11:40 AM

I would, whats wrong with yellow

mangogrooveworkshop - 5/3/10 at 11:44 AM

Fatgadget - 5/3/10 at 11:45 AM

mcerd1 - 5/3/10 at 11:46 AM

Light yellow only looks good on e-type jag's IMO.
I drove a bright yellow mini for a few years with no shame

l0rd - 5/3/10 at 11:50 AM

Only if it was a Lamborgini

FFTS - 5/3/10 at 12:38 PM

I had one of the first import Smart cars in the country... Yellow and silver

gottabedone - 5/3/10 at 01:08 PM

Yes - go for it.

I have an orange car - it's the Tango colour

off-road-ham - 5/3/10 at 01:12 PM

I do, it is suposed tobe the most visable colour on the road.
Then the other driver can't get away with "Sorry mate I didn't see you".

big-vee-twin - 5/3/10 at 01:25 PM

I do its there on the left in my Avatar

blakep82 - 5/3/10 at 01:29 PM

yep, i would. personally i'd have more of a problem driving a porsche than any other yellow car, but thats just me

se7en - 5/3/10 at 01:37 PM

I have had three yellow cars in my time. The first was a Mk3 Ford Cortina GT, the second was a VX Chevette with full body kit and the third was a Hyundai Pony, an ex-demo car with black horses (ponies) on the front doors.

I have no problems in driving a yellow car as long as it was not yellow fading to while or yellow fading to the colour of $**t.

Here are some stock photos of the cars, I could not find a yellow Hyundai Pony.

Its not just you...

although I wouldn't have a problem driving it - just with being seen driving it

I've got this waiting as the next project (assuming the dax is ever finished )

I've never had a yellow car on the road before, but it can't be as bad as my old 'oyster gold' {read: metalic beige} 79' fiesta

speedyxjs - 5/3/10 at 01:51 PM

Nowt wrong with a yellow car although that porsche is a bit too pale for my liking

GMPMotorsport - 5/3/10 at 02:00 PM

No problem with yellow, the car looks good are you buying it?

r1_pete - 5/3/10 at 02:45 PM

not sure, black would be my first choice - never goes out of fashion; only attratcet to the yellow 911 due to price.

matty h - 5/3/10 at 05:37 PM

No problem with yellow cars both my MK and Libra are yellow.

yeah but dat don't count - see title and reference to tin top - kit cars are driven by extroverts who go out of their way to be noticed - i am wondering whether a bright yellow 911 is too bright and yellow for grey man who does not want to stand out from the crowd.

MonkeyBoyJnr - 5/3/10 at 06:22 PM

Yep,
have owned 2 so far! 1 was a R34 Nissan Skyline :-)

Werner Van Loock - 5/3/10 at 06:28 PM

don't see any problem with yellow

morcus - 5/3/10 at 07:27 PM

Depends on the specific shade and the money involved. If buying cheap colour isn't important but if your spending alot of money its better to have a colour you like. I wanted a Yellow C3 Plurial for a while (It took the garage ages to shift it. It drove nice but it was only 4 y/o and the interior was scratched to pieces and all the words had worn off the buttons.)

JoelP - 5/3/10 at 08:13 PM

defaintely depends on car.

Steve Hignett - 5/3/10 at 08:24 PM

Yep

Yep, bright yellows aren't too bad, though certainly wouldn't be my first choice. However, the powder yellows like that 911 are pretty horrible IMO.
