You have to give some credit to the French.

HowardB - 4/4/11 at 06:17 PM

right shape - but what engine,...?

Confused but excited. - 4/4/11 at 06:22 PM

There may be a clue in the title......although for the life of me I couldn't imagine why you would. Is their petrol as dear as ours?

But what a little stonker! Love it.

WoW! My GOD!....

Shades of &0's Corvette Stingray Styling!

You gotts love the cheek of it!

Would I buy one? NOT in a Million years!

iank - 4/4/11 at 06:44 PM

Quite like the front end, but the GT40 shrunk-in-the-wash rear end doesn't really work.
As you can't register kits in France does that mean there is/was a manufacturer making it? Or can you do 're-bodies' on a 2CV chassis?

Why???

MikeRJ - 4/4/11 at 06:57 PM

I really like this Slow as molasses I'm sure, but it's good to see someone not taking things too seriously.

Of course you could always do it the other way around

T66 - 4/4/11 at 07:18 PM

Or one of my favourites - as above

I like both, but the heavy fibreglass body and aircooled engine will be pap to drive.

David Jenkins - 4/4/11 at 07:56 PM

This is my favourite...

Picasso

I hasten to add that I'm not a Daily Mail reader! This is just what Google found for me... honest...

Badger_McLetcher - 4/4/11 at 09:17 PM

I actually really like the OP 2cv. Just needs a reengine. And resuspension. Basically everything but the bodywork

carpmart - 4/4/11 at 09:28 PM

Loving the rear, hating the front!

Confused but excited. - 4/4/11 at 10:07 PM

Is it just me?
I love all of them.
Perhaps it's just my twisted sense of humour.
Aren't we all on here because we wanted something different?
Or do most want a Lotus 7 and can't afford it, so build something unique but almost the same because they don't want to be too different?
Or am I being contentious?
Does anyone really care?
Vive la difference!

I have a saying "Different is good"

There are reams of motoring oddities which I would love to own, based on one thing, they are different from what the masses drive.

Clarkson calls them Euro Blancmanges.

The 2CV has cult status in my eyes, love them all especially the 2CV van.

and the ......

Traction Avant
Citroen Ds
Renault Dauphin
Renault Alpine
Renault R5 Maxi
Citroen HY Van
Citroen Mehari
Citroen CX Familiale

The list goes on, and thats just the French stuff.

blue2cv - 5/4/11 at 07:54 AM
