Indeed a nasty crash, hope the fella is ok as he is a right character and a damn good racer

hope he's alright, always reminds me of an explosion in a mattress factory, love to know how he gets that hair in his helmet

Looks terrible, his helmet came off when another riders bike landed on him, 3 bikes involved.

Just heard he has died.
Was watching it with my 3 year old daughter. She kept asking if he was OK.

Apparently he has passed away, RIP

That's just terrible, thoughts go out to his family for sure..
For those that watched it as it happened, was that his GF/wife that the camera cut to immediatly after the crash? She was in floods of tears, was only for a second or two but heartbreaking to watch, especially if it was Marco's significant other

Very sad news about Marco Simoncelli, a real character and a breath of fresh air always a source of amazement to the crowd and commentators. All sympathies to his friends and family, bless him.

I'm shocked....Dan Weldon and now this with Simoncelli. Tragic. My thoughts with his family and loved ones.
