OK, RTR don't really come into 'locost' considering they basically offer turnkey solutions of MEV cars, but it's still one less kit car source.

Judging by the number posts about kc builds, its been dead for some time.

When i was putting mine together back in 2008, there was a vast number mk inxy, gtss. Tigers being discussed.

MEV aren't dead, so they may be able to help

That is a shame

It is indeed sad news that RTR are out of business. The Mevabusa may well reappear I am told but I have no idea by who and when. The Rocket and Sonic7 projects were licenced for manufacture to RTR but that licence is now null and void so the tooling jigs and moulds have been returned to MEV LTD.
We are extremely busy with our Exocet and Replicar however so we do not have the capacity to continue production of the Rocket or Sonic.
I do hope this does not cause any upset if anyone was just about to place an order. I am told that RTR have supplied all goods that were paid for.

The Sonic 7 project is on ebay right now for a couple more days. It will be interesting to see if it sells and how much for.
