Bit worried about the car sitting so high up on top of the wheels like that.
I'm looking for something to tow my MNR Vortx but my garage is only 2.14m wide which is a gnats whisker too narrow for pretty much any trailer
I've seen. This one would be good as it's light enough that I could probably lift it on its side to get it through my back gate and store
it in the garden. Does anyone else do anything similar that is hopefully a bit cheaper?

Perfectly stable, just load it right.
Materials, £800 I guess, pressed U channel, marine ply floor, suspension kit 900lb axles, heavy duty wheels hitch and cables from towing and trailers
on eBay.

That looks ideal but I don't think I've got the time or skills to build one myself! Good to know having the wheels underneath like that doesn't cause issues though.
My wheels and tyres look a lot more substantial !
The car lives on the trailer so does not take up any room as such.

Hadn't woken up, yet, so I found myself looking for a "LIKE" button to show my appreciation of that trailer. FaceBook is affecting my
life too much!
Anyway...GOOD JOB on that trailer. Wish I had one like that...

Do home built trailers need any type of inspection /certification?
I think you just massage the date of manufacture to fit in with the regs.
My trailer, be it twin axle, has wheel mudguards that will take the weight of the car so I can drive over them.
This keeps the width down to the same as the tow car, a bit narrower in my case, but still has a low centre of gravity.
Even a car with sills still fits as it's frequently used to transport a lowered MX5 to track days.
