907 - 24/6/19 at 10:58 AM

They'll be an exciting race meet at Snetterton this weekend. Caterham's and MX5's

I hope to be marshalling on both days so I'll get a close up view.

Wish I could go Paul. If I can get a pass out I will but doubtful. Do you know where you will be on the day? I give you a wave if I can get there (relatives visiting :-( )

No idea what post I'll be on as each day you are moved on two or three posts. I think the idea is that no one gets stuck on a boring post and no one ends up with all the work either.
Last time I marshalled was for the Ferrari Challenge and was at post 8, turn 4, (Agostini) entry to a 180 hairpin. Quite a hotspot.
The time before was post 2 for the second half of the KA 12 hour race. Should have took a camp bed, but then the squealing
tyres would have kept me awake.

Used to have a cat that didn't like visitors. As they came in the front door he'd be out the back, over the back fence and gone.
About ten at night he'd be on the windowcill looking in to see if they'd gone.
I recon he had the right idea. Try it.

Just got home. Phew !

Was at the esses just after the bridge on Saturday, and post 8 just on the entry of Agostini hairpin today. Both busy.

They do say that a hairpin is the best place for the MX5's

Ive had a fantastic weekend. Now where's my bed.

Well done Paul - sorry didn't manage to spot you. I was at most of the viewing areas through the day, left Wilson just before the 420R rolled over and Agostini later as well as Hamilton, Murray etc. Excellent days racing. Well done for marshalling as without people like you I would have had nothing to watch!!!

Didn't spot me ??? Can't think why. I was the one dressed in orange.

Glad we are appreciated. Thanks.
It's a good hobby, and apart from the odd "jobsworth" they are a grand bunch of blokes and ladies.

I'm off to Brands later in July for a training day where we get to set a car on fire, and hopefully put it out.

Might also jump up and down on a rubber doll and blow some air into it. Well, it passes the time.
