Croft trackday May 5th

my 1st race is at Croft at the end of May in the 750MC Locost series.

Yes bookin with Track Action
For every 10 750Mc members booked in, they are having a draw for a free place.
so you may expect quite a few race guys there that day from all formula's.

it's a 105db day, so it's as loud as they get. If you've got any doubts you could either turn up at a trackday there, and get it tested, or just give them a call and arrange to be tested. Plenty of BECs manage OK on 105 days.

Hmmmm. Seem to remember it's with the db meter 1/2 metre from the exhaust, at 45 degrees from the exit, and 3/4 max revs. The way to do it, is to build up the revs slowly... I see there's a couple of trackdays there Easter weekend, Friday and Saturday. If you have any doubts, have a drive there and get it checked. There's always some good spectating on these days anyway.

What car will you be in Mark? There's a very good chance I'll be there on Saturday too with my son's Honda CRX. As it's nowhere near full yet, we're weather watching before booking it.

It's in bits at moment and has been since I got it. It's in harrogate at Daytuner getting the engine sorted and xoomspeed fitted

We didn't have a good day with the Honda. It broke a drive shaft after a very few laps.




..but eventually got it fixed and back out..

We got it fixed, but it involved two trips home, and swapping the drive shaft twice!

We generally send info out a few days before the event but it will be usual times etc so 7.30-8.30 signing on, 8.30 briefing etc.

If you let me know your name I'll check you are safely on the list

We have still got a few slots left for this one and I've managed to book BTCC racer Adam Morgan to instruct for us, we don't charge for instruction on our days so this is a great chance to get some top level coaching for free!

Track limits are set by the circuit, 25 for Croft I think which should make it reasonably roomy out there .

Not sure on final numbers as some of the places have been sold by Mazda on Track and I haven't seen the full list yet.

Just seen a BBC forecast, it's looking like more than just a wet start. ..wet middle and end perhaps.. Hope they've got it wrong.

I've got suitable cars for wet or dry, but if I take the front car out and bin it then I may as not go home so I'll be in the MK regardless...

Definitely a day of two halves! Piddly wet in the morning, but thankfully it dried out after lunch, although the wind was quite strong over the back of the circuit.
Nice to meet up with a couple of bods of here, T/Jack and G/prince.

Shall get some pics up soon, and some vid.. eventually.
