I really want this Sylva finished so I can move onto the next project.
Truth be told, if someone was to say to me right now, "stick the Sylva in this empty garage", I would bite their hand off.
I didn't think that a restoration was such a long drawn out affair.
Going to have to keep going at it - this will not be on ebay as yet another unfinished project.
Hopefully get it done for summer then I can get a proper car started....
What's left to do?
Can't be all that much.

I know how you feel, having more than one project on the go is a nightmare, been feeling down as everything is taking much longer then i expected, its
hard to stay motivated on one car when you have the next project buzzing around in your head!

How about buying something fun and useable that needs no work as a toy while the Sylva is being restored. Midas Gold etc? Anything that can be blasted
around this summer really. Even a cheapy tin top strip the interior and put in some plastic windows.

I'll definitely be sticking with it.
As I've probably said before, the late Lawrence Hoy once made me promise to stop leaving
things unfinished or undeveloped. (This was after I had sold the GTM and never really made it work as he thought it should.)
Anyway, I will finish it.
Then I'll build the sports racing car that I know is in me - I'm too tall to properly fit in a dinky little single seater, and if the car
has to be bigger just to fit me, then it's automatically too big to be competitive. So, it'll be a sports racing car as I have always
said.
The Sylva will hillclimb and sprint this year.
It will then find a home somewhere, and the empty garage will be put to good use.
Regarding Midases (or is it Midaii ?) I happen to know somebody selling one and he's sort of local too.
In the meantime I appear to be doing a trial in a couple of weeks and the car being used will will be His Holiness The Skud.

I see wher youare coming from - we were once in the fortunate position of having 4 jeeps sitting here which meant you never had to look too far to
find something to do.
It also meant that little jobs around the house that would have been knocked off quickly in the past never got done :0
When I realised my wife was becoming 'a bit antagonistic' towards the ever expanding hobby we sold a couple off at a good rate to fellow
enthusiasts who were short of cash but rich in time
The result was world peace and a couple of new proud owners and I am now back to being mr DIY.
there's a moral in there somewhere ............
