JoelP - 1/6/04 at 11:41 AM

greggors84 - 1/6/04 at 11:46 AM

Im guessing his alter ego is a regular contributor to the forum?

locoboy - 1/6/04 at 11:53 AM

thats odd that one, cos i was suspect mr ison, but couldnt think why i thought it was him!

Mk-Ninja - 1/6/04 at 12:10 PM

Id guess at Hippy or Chrisg.

Whoever it is theyve done it well.

stephen_gusterson - 1/6/04 at 12:27 PM

I can absolutley say its not me. I wouldnt ask for an IP check if it was.....

In fact, mr ison and myself are not the most accurate spellers, and I think this would give us away anyways.

It could be one of two chris's - but I wouldnt like to besmirch the innocent.

So, im gonna say its hippy, just to pi$$ him off

greggors84 - 1/6/04 at 12:55 PM

I was thinking of 2 chris's too steve. It just seemed their sense of humour, from what i could tell from on here anyway. Could one have come back to visit us?

stephen_gusterson - 1/6/04 at 01:34 PM

yes - altho hes not been on much, hes logged in over the ast few days.

If you look at the member list, it shows last active times of all the members....

I think you are thinking same as me....

ChrisW - 1/6/04 at 01:36 PM

so, you gonna do the decent thing and 'out him' after some decent amount of guesses?

Or how about an identity parade in the form of a poll

I will volunteer for the lineup....

Mk-Ninja - 1/6/04 at 01:42 PM

A poll would be good Steve, you must be able to come up with 10 possibles

Yes... the user in question adds something to his 'signature' each time (ie signs off with the same words but hasn't included them with his automatic signature) and has screwed up on a couple of occasions (across his various alteregos) forgetting who he is logged in as.

PS Search button is in the top left

Chris

its not ATB either

Cheers Chris.

Mk-Ninja - 1/6/04 at 02:49 PM

Dont think its cheers as it comes up blank on a combined search of considerably

greggors84 - 1/6/04 at 02:51 PM

I was going for that joel, but couldnt find much in the search.

Cheers

Jon Ison - 1/6/04 at 07:00 PM

having readed the above i'm flattenend, or is it flattered,

BTW Steve, yesterday was bad, real bad.................

Metal Hippy - 1/6/04 at 07:40 PM

Well I know it's not me.

I used to think Dazza, but now I don't think it is.

Now I say Bob for the hell of it.

stephen_gusterson - 1/6/04 at 10:18 PM

I was rooting for barnet in the conference playoffs - they got trashed too......

Reviewing the posts, my vote would be for JoelP.

JoelP - 2/6/04 at 07:36 AM

ah ha.

i've only been here 10 months! con has been here for years.

guess again?!

Considerably - 2/6/04 at 11:32 AM

I wish I knew what ChrisW was on about

What signature ?

I am ME

chrisg - 2/6/04 at 06:51 PM

IT'S NOT ME!!!!

I know "what" he is if that's any help?

Needs outing, bit of a git

Cheers

Chris

JoelP - 2/6/04 at 06:56 PM

i noticed you were both logged in just now chris, but it was a close thing really. Maybe no real overlap?!

i dont really think it is you though.

chrisg - 2/6/04 at 07:05 PM

Come on ChrisW - out him, I'm being dragged through the mud here - I might sue!

Cheers

Chris

Considerably - 2/6/04 at 07:11 PM

Jeez, YOU might sue.

Everyone else seems to have calmed down in the past 18 months, but not you.

That is a LOT of bitterness dear boy.

chrisg - 2/6/04 at 07:14 PM

What makes you think you can come on here, slag everybody off and escape the consequences?

I hope your balls rot

Considerably - 2/6/04 at 07:16 PM

Who was I slagging off ?

Apart from you ?

The sad thing is, I actually DO believe that you mean me some harm.

chrisg - 2/6/04 at 07:16 PM

Too right

JoelP - 2/6/04 at 07:17 PM

i can just picture chris, in a cybercafe, frantically running between two computers to 'prove' he isnt considerably mistaken...

you dont fool me sonny jim...

chrisg - 2/6/04 at 07:20 PM

Try this knobhead

"Hmmmm, what's that smell ?

Could it be the musky perfume of jealousy, with an overpowering overtone of poverty ?

Yup, thats it.... George E O Nomoney....

Back to your council estates....losers."

Sound familiar?

Considerably - 2/6/04 at 07:20 PM

Very sad for you. And I do mean that.

I doubt you are the brightest of sparks, lad. But I like your humour.

However people who have to resort to violence to make their point, are not particularly nice human beings if you ask me.

p.s. you are waaaay to easy to hook.

JoelP - 2/6/04 at 07:22 PM

cos i dont know him. he's the only suspect left in my books.

chrisg - 2/6/04 at 07:22 PM

Considerably - 2/6/04 at 07:24 PM

Awwww, and just when I was starting to like you too

stephen_gusterson - 2/6/04 at 07:45 PM

Joel

you seem to have guessed everyone except my mum so far!

I thought it might be chris gibbons, but when I met him for a short while last year he seemed such a quiet wallflower of a chap, I couldnt possibly imagine that he would wind up chris gibbs

Satisfactory outcome?

chrisg - 2/6/04 at 09:17 PM

The next person who suggests it's me is going to be wearing their balls as earings!

It's not me, I don't think it's Locodude either as he's not really such a c*nt.

Whoever it is had better keep a low profile when I find out - Slag me as much as you want but don't start on the Locosters, my family.

OUT HIM CHRIS!!!!!!

Cheers

Chris

liam.mccaffrey - 2/6/04 at 09:26 PM

quiet fellow? wasnt it him that cant leave his tool where it belongs?!

im convinced its him now, cos theres a suspicious edited post on 26/01/03. plus considerably mentions le mans a few times, and ISTR locos been down a few times. so there.

[Edited on 2/6/04 by JoelP]

Mark Allanson - 2/6/04 at 09:52 PM

Now I am totally convinced its Steve Gusty's mum

ChrisW - 2/6/04 at 10:17 PM

Clue?

Chris

JoelP - 2/6/04 at 10:20 PM

umm... thats not a bad one.

but theres no proof lord charles is the same as considerably.

im stumped really.

andyps - 2/6/04 at 10:23 PM

That narrows it down a bit - maybe Joeals latest guess is correct - Mark H?

Joel posted while I typed - this refered to his guess in another thread!

[Edited on 2/6/04 by andyps]

JoelP - 2/6/04 at 10:25 PM

oops, that was actually mark allanson i was pointing too! but mark H will do too.

sod it, i give up...

paulbeyer - 2/6/04 at 10:47 PM

Christopher G I reckon you have been wound up a treat by your old friend PTM A.K.A. Locodude, Lord Charles, Considerably.

You've been had my son.

greggors84 - 2/6/04 at 11:49 PM

I wouldnt think that Chris would have got that wound up, thats why i thought he might be in on it. But now im not so sure, i still think its PTM though.

Considerably - 3/6/04 at 05:37 AM

I am NOT Lord Charles.

stephen_gusterson - 3/6/04 at 07:38 AM

ChrisW - 3/6/04 at 08:59 AM

Chris

Mk-Ninja - 3/6/04 at 09:37 AM

Sorry Mr Gibbs looks like the drinks are on me.

I thought we had established that Lord Charles was a Chris, as the silly sod posted under the wrong id on technical thread ?

And as for a hand up my jacksie ... well there was that customs official at heathrow

greggors84 - 3/6/04 at 10:26 AM

Chris, is the person in the list that steve put up in the poll?

ned - 3/6/04 at 10:34 AM

or in the clue thread that he gave?

greggors84 - 3/6/04 at 11:46 AM

I reckon its ChrisW!!!!

timf - 3/6/04 at 12:00 PM

considering the amount of poo con caused on tol it could be one the chris'

Mk-Ninja - 3/6/04 at 12:09 PM

Eh!

stephen_gusterson - 3/6/04 at 12:22 PM

if tis chrisw that would explain the reluctance to out him........

atb

steve

Considerably - 3/6/04 at 01:30 PM

Of course it could just be a ruse ... and he doesn't really know who I am.

In fact the ONLY way he COULD is if he is also webmaster on one of the other boards that I might use.

Or someone else is using the same ISP as me, and the range is similar ?

stephen_gusterson - 3/6/04 at 01:39 PM

Not true I'm afraid. There are far more ways of tracking people down than just looking at IP ranges. Hardly accurate is it? Using your computer on an NHS network is interesting tho

Chris

[Edited on 3/6/04 by ChrisW]

flak monkey - 3/6/04 at 02:04 PM

Surry Dave works for the NHS....

Not any more

Chris

I love speed :-P - 3/6/04 at 05:44 PM

oh come on chris just out him

Considerably - 3/6/04 at 06:15 PM

Well, I can assure you, I do not, and never have used an NHS network.

This reminds me of the "Unix adminstrator" on TOL who was absolutely 100% convinced I was logging on from Canada.

But I agree, go on, tell them who I am

ChrisW - 3/6/04 at 08:10 PM

The acutal IP I was referring to was 213.121.212.121 which reverses to gtw-121.nhs.uk although now I look at it again it could well be a spoofed IP. From the logs it looks like you used it to post in this thread although the IP the site logged for your actual post was different to the one the security system logged. Now I investigate more, I think I believe the server logs as the IP they use is in the same range as your usual ISP.

Anyway, that should cut it down eh folks? Posted in that thread, not mentioned up to now...?

Chris

Deckman001 - 3/6/04 at 08:16 PM

Got it down to two then,, ummm I don't know either

Jason

Mk-Ninja - 3/6/04 at 08:19 PM

Thanks for that Chris Ive been looking for that website that david posted for ages.

JoelP - 3/6/04 at 08:19 PM

check how many posts one of them made yesterday, compared to usual? indicates a busy day online!

face the music dj!

flak monkey - 3/6/04 at 08:24 PM

St Albans..? Hmm

Another considerably has registered... interesting.

Considerably and
Considerably.

Spot the difference...

[Edited on 3/6/04 by flak monkey]

200mph - 3/6/04 at 09:15 PM

so it's Jenkins for sure then?

Mark

David Jenkins - 3/6/04 at 09:24 PM

Who Sir? Me Sir?

Nope... try again...

David

Deckman001 - 3/6/04 at 09:40 PM

So who know's 'vintagebuilder' or 'MautoK' then ?????????

Jason

JoelP - 3/6/04 at 09:53 PM

neither of those two has been registered long enough. SO its either mark allanson, or david jenkins. Have both denied it yet?

i wonder if chrisw is having doubts yet?!

JoelP - 3/6/04 at 09:59 PM

could be kingr or wicket, they have been here long enough and arent listed in the poll, and neither has been accused yet.

anyone know them well?!

Officially denied on a couple of occasions...

Any road up, I can spell, and generally my grammar is correct, so that rules me out!

David
(officially bored with this topic too - I really don't give a stuff who 'considerably' may be!)

JoelP - 4/6/04 at 07:41 AM

considerably spells quite well usually. indeed, who cares? its a laugh. all them miserable gits on high horses getting bored of the thread can piss off and read something else then. (not you david, you're on bail!!)

Deckman001 - 4/6/04 at 09:08 AM

Iwas told the culprit was building an 'Indy', hence my suspicions !!

Jason

Considerably - 4/6/04 at 09:13 AM

The culprit has a Cateringvan, albeit a slow and old one. But he is proud of it nonetheless.

All clearly stated on the "offending" thread.

stephen_gusterson - 4/6/04 at 09:59 AM

that would be requiring us to believe all you say is true, which would be outright silly....

Considerably. - 4/6/04 at 10:13 AM

I don’t blame you for hanging around this user friendly forum as lets face it your own L7 forum is not exactly friendly, and if you do have a Caterham and its not that powerful you probably don’t fit into the big boys toys image.

Never mind.

Considerably - 4/6/04 at 10:26 AM

Well, it is a lot larger forum than here, so the number of shouty idiots is going to be proportionally higher.

Lots of nice people though. But there are miserable bastards as well. And people with a LOT of money to throw at cars.

But you do have Chris G, and I have never seen anyone quite as grouchy and rude on another forum.

I take it you are familar with that forum Hicost ?

ned - 4/6/04 at 10:57 AM

yeah,

and as a gesture of good will I'll even invite you (in addition to hicost and everyone else) back to my house in guildford for a bbq.
