They have been pushing their luck for a bit!

CraigJ - 1/2/11 at 08:41 PM

Some people just don't have a sense of humour any more.

HowardB - 1/2/11 at 08:45 PM

the list of peoples not offended by JC and co is so short that it is rather an exclusive club,...

Still it made me laugh,..... that's the point really, I don't get stressed when they slag off rep mobiles, mid-life crisis cars etc,..

Laugh with them it's entertainment

:-)

The mexican ambassador is an idiot.

I think that's all that's been proven here.

JoelP - 1/2/11 at 09:01 PM

it is techincally ignorant racism (by the dictionary definition anyway), if they slagged an israeli car for having a big nose there would be outrage.

What annoys me is that some ignorant people will laugh but not realise how stupid it is to sterotype people or nations.

People dont always see the shadows that their hands are casting, and the affect they might have.

Agreed.

If the Mexican Top Gear team (if one exists) made cracks about the British being stuffy, always moaning about the weather (whatever it may be like) and have bad teeth would the British Ambassador get his panties in a bunch?

If he did then he also needs to get a sense of humour

Q. What do you call a Mexican who's had his car stolen?

A. Carlos.

Must admit they went a bit over the line with that imho. Felt a little uncomfortable myself. Put the BBC back a few decades. Besides - Mexican food is yummy. The anti-aussie banter seemed to be much better judged and genuinely funny.

I agree Mexican food is top nosh.

The Aussie thing (transit drag race) I saw some weeks ago (courtesy of a link from this site) but I dont remember seeing their presenters
turning up in prison vans though. Which was funny, but maybe a bit much for Aussie TV.
I have to say though it didnt get to watch the entire show as my job was getting in the way
