Restaurant at the Tate Modern has quite nice view of the river and north bank / st pauls.

Or you end up looking at south london.

There's a rooftop place in shoreditch

Oxo tower is good but a little cosy ie cramped. Skylon at the south bank is quiter and v good views. I like gordons wine bar. Great atmosphere, rubbish views.

I too was going to say the Oxo Tower as the view is good and the food is good too.

Sorry, think Oxo Tower is a bit of a rip off for very average food. Better to go up the London Eye which is awesome then pick yourself a GOOD restaurant.
