Holiday Recommendations

Hi Guys,

the girlfriend and I are looking for holiday destinations, but we cannot decide where to go. We don't want to go anywhere where there are lots of children and families, but would like somewhere that is relaxing but still has activities for adults. Budget is up to £700 each looking at 7-10 days in late June. Departing 24/25 june. We want sun, so we have ruled out anywhere cold ideally looking for temperatures in the high 20's, early 30's.

Anyone got any recommendations, we have looked at Croatia, Bulgaria, Crete, Turkey, Malta, Sicily,Italy all your European sunny hot spots, can anyone recommend anywhere etc where you have had a great time

Open to all recommendation

all the best

Alex

South of France is pretty nice but depending on areas can be expensive at resteraunts etc. Couple of nights we just ate take away pizzas at the beach for around 10 euros and I enjoyed it as much as any meal!

Madiera, had a great holiday there last year, few things to see plus great climate.

Bulgaria - Varna (Golden Sands or Sunny Beach) cheap as hell, is where I live.

Other places I can recommend - Croatia, South of Spain, Canary Islands.

I reckon, based on my experience go on holiday lettings and booking a nice apartment.. Fuengirola..

Plenty bars, plenty nice restaurants and a beach that goes on for ever... About 9 miles long I think..

Not many night clubs but depends what you want for yourself.

Done it plenty times now and booking a private apartment usually means a nice pool to yourself, maybe a couple other people there and a home from home with sky or expat telly.

Will be nice and hot then and there's a brilliant zoo!

Fly into Malaga and Fuengirola is the last stop on the train, about 2euro each.

We tend to go there as family lot, this year out first one this year is Benidorm, like marmite, love it or hate it! A lot more expensive than Fuengirola as well but more entertaining.

Went to Ibiza in May last year and it was still closed for the winter. Hotel full of coffin dodgers.

Salou in august was more lively, in fact the monsoon rain was very entertaining! Salou is handy for Porta Ventura if nothing else. Only went there cause for some reason Benidorm was really expensive last year.

On our list is a family holiday to Salou for the bairn, a cruise for us then Disneyland Florida for the bairn again. All in the next 12 months.

Benalmedia and Torremalinos were pants, considering they are next to Fuengirola there's no comparison.

We quite like lanzarote.

Corfu, Zakynthos(Zante), Crete, Malta. If you want a beach holiday in Malta you have to go for the north of the island.

Also your budget will just about get you half board in Italy.

Rhodes , because my old man lives there.

anywhere on the cote d'azur , but only because of the col de turini.

id recommend Barcelona, having worked there , it does have everything , including a good beach, and some really stunning views further up on the costa brava , of course rally costa brava is the old wrc rally , now based in salou.

100% Barcelona.

It's got the beach, good weather, lots to see and do if you can be bothered but most importantly brilliant food.

Oh and the nightlife is meant to be brilliant although I've never done a night out there.

Rovinj in Croatia, if your after something a bit different to the usual destinations. The best time to go is late June early July, not too busy, and not too hot.

Have a look at the Dominican Republic - you should get at least a week all-inclusive on your budget

I suggest Chalkidiki if you like Greece! 1st leg for nightlife or second leg for adventure & nature!
much cheeper than other Greek islands.
Temperatures on June are between 22-32 degrees.

Just booked the Rosamar in Benidorm for the first one this year, that's why me last ramble was so long while I was looking for a jollyday...

Left field, a cruise, should be kiddy free warm and wake in a new location each day, should grab somthing on the inner of boat for under £1k each.

We was cruise virgins until 3 weeks ago, allready looking for our next one.

Corsica. Bloody amazing place. Sun, gorgeous beaches, big mountains with epic roads, and cracking food (blend of French and Italian). And not a chav with lager and a football shirt in sight....
