Im just starting my project and i have a j reg grananda cosworth which id like to use, iv been reading up and see the xr4x4i mt75 gear box will fit, i also have one of these cars on a g plate, im building the haynes Build Your Own Sports Car
on a budget kit and would like to know if the engine will fit? Also what other parts would i need to source to complete the running gear or would both these cars have the bits needed, thanks very much for any help

I think you may need to build the +4" chassis to fit the cossie V6 in it. You need to measure up the engine to find out.

I think people have previously had trouble with the MT75X gearbox due to the large bulge for the front propshaft being where your passenger should be. If that box fits though, I see no reason why a standard MT75 wouldn't, the only difference is the 4 wheel drive section at the back.

PS. if you find a 2.0 twin cam XR4x4, it will come with an LSD!

Chippy on here has fitted a V6 cossie motor in his locost although I think it's an oversize chasis.
