Has anyone approached MCT / Mitchel Cotts ref 3.14 diffs?

They make 'brand new' units and supply to Caterham etc. Always suspected they would be unreasonably expensive or only supply in large quantities, but seeing one on eBay at £900+ made me wonder. Perhaps an opportunity for a group buy?

Go for freelander, or look for alternatives such as BMW if you want a LSD... those are not locost at all.

It's getting painful, I felt robbed paying £250 notes for my 3.14 a couple of years ago when I paid £100 for a whole 2.8i XR4x4 sierra a year before.

As Mark says, use something else. Those prices are ridiculous - I got a 2.28 from a 330D for £150 from Germany!

I reckon if someone comes up with a Sierra/BMW hybrid driveshaft, there'll be pennies to be made from conversions to a far better (but slightly heavier) diff

M3 3.0 LSD is 3.15 ratio, i think the 3.2 evo has a 3.2 ratio.

You can pick these up on ebay for around £200, I was watching one a couple of weeks ago that was a complete rear subframe including shafts, uprights, LSD and brakes which only went for £275.

Weight penalty is approx 15 kg over Sierra
