When fitting a rear wheel drive flywheel to a ST170 variant of the Zetec engine are the standard Zetec Flywheel bolts used as I've seen that the
standard bolts specify they're not for the ST170 but I'm assuming that's if the engine retains the dual mass flywheel in fwd
configuration.
Can the original bolts from the ST170engine be used to bolt the rwd flywheel on or is it best to use new.
Also could do with a couple of pointers on how the inlet pulley bolts back on to the inlet camshaft
Thanks
The dual mass flywheel is much thicker so the bolts are longer and will lock the crank up long before you get the flywheel done up.
So you just need Zetec bolts.
There where some very skinny flywheels kicking about years ago that called for shorter bolts from an auto flex plate.
Thanks for that Wasa, thought it might be to do with the length.
Can you give me any info on re attaching the inlet pulley???
Ian
I don't think I've ever took one of. I normally leave them on the cam with the front cap and lift it of complete.

Thanks
