Can anyone point me in the right direction for 2 water jacket plugs for a MK1 mondeo 2L silvertop? Its the 2 torx head plugs that sit between spark plugs 1 and 2 and then 3 and 4? Ive had water sat around 1 and 2 and think the water jacket plugs are leaking as ive had a misfire and a bit of steam coming out of the cam cover breather

wont be freeze plugs as they are screwed in, most likley holes to let the sand out when they are cast ?

Those leaking was quite common on mk1's though you usually see pink stains around them from the anti-freeze. Unscrew the plugs and reseal... But they can be a bitch if there's corrosion.

They also suffer from rain water leaking under the back edge of the bonnet, getting past the bulkhead seal which gets flat with age (Focus suffers more). and dripping in with no way out. Only rust stains when that happens.
