limited slip diff
whatever axle he's got
locks up the diff if one wheel starts to spin so it either
a) gives better traction as the wheel with most grip gets power too
or b) makes both wheels spin up, and you slide backwards into a hedge

don't write OT on a new thread title, you're creating the topic, everything you write is very much ON topic!

Tran-X link
Very basically the preload and ramp angle can be varied to alter the action of the limited slip function - make it gentler or harsher essentially.
I've always found a standard Sierra LSD to harsh myself which can result in spinning the car. The gentler action of a tuned Tran-X LSD can
result in a more progressive and easier to control car

if we're going for diff porn, here is mine, it's an Auburn Ected, basicly its an LSD with the option when needed to lock up at the flick
of a switch, its got electro magnets built in, when drag racing you turn it on so its like having a welded diff.
