Spring Rates and ride quality

Is it possible to get the kind of shock that has 2 springs in it? (for a locost) At the moment I am running the GTS coilovers with 275lb/in in front and 180lb/in in the rear.
The ride is fine on good roads but since I drive on 70% not so good roads I was wondering if it is possible to "filter out" those tiny bumps. I don't drive through potholes but I can feel every imperfection in the road and the car + driver weighs 590kg.
The kind of shock I was looking for was something like THIS< br />
Or any other fix that could help I would appreciate.

the helper springs are only designed to keep the spring held against the seats at full extension and prevent dislocation. they're about 10lb/inch iirc.

i guess you could look at progressively wound springs or variable rate but they'll be expensive!

The springs are to hard , i have 275 front and 160 rear and am considering going softer.I tried 180 on the back once but it was way to hard and i went back to the 160lb ones which may still be to hard.The fronts are also a bit hard but on my car the mountings are slightly different to book making them more up right.

What wheel / tyre sizes are yo running?

Also, what pressure do you run the tyres at?

I run 195/50R15 tyres at 17.5psi front and 16psi rear on my Pinto engined Indy and found the lower the tyre pressure the beter for ride and grip.

(you may already have this element sorted though)

I am running 185 60 13's. 20psi Rear and 19psi front. Do you know where I can buy springs for my kind of shock?

Have you experimented with the tyre pressures?

I'd be tempted to lower them a bit and try the rear lower than the front.

Rally design seem to be a good source of springs, they stock a wide range of strengths and sizes.

It's a very light car with limited suspension travel. Are you sure that you aren't hoping for too much?

Part of the problem is the ratio of sprung to unsprung weight, which in the case of light cars like yours is quite high.

Are there any oppportunities in Malta to try a ride in a similar car, and see if it's any better.

Alternatively, consider a Bentley Continental, they have good ride and good handling, and are quite fast as well (also a LOT heavier)
