As promised, here's the ITG backplate as fitted to my 2003 R1:

As you can see the intake rubbers only stick out above the plate by about 10mm so you wouldnt need a particularly high filter if you haven't got room. For info, the holes needed in the backplate to secure the rubbers are precisely 50mm if I remember correctly, so nice and easy to cut with a suitably sized hole punch once you've measured out the spacing.

I have a pinto with GSXR 600 carbs fitted. I have read all of the post and nothing is mention reading cec with bike Carbs. Will this sausage filter suit this application.

The JC40 will fit if you haven't adjusted the spacing on the carbs. If you have, then you may need the JC50. E-mail me and I'll send a fact sheet with dimensional information to check.
