Dashboard SVA requirements

Afternoon fellas. Just looking at completing my dash, however it states in the SVA that the lower edge has to be radius 19mm (5mm if not rigid material). Does this mean the horizontal lower edge or does this include the vertical drop down to the central tunnel and chassis on the outside?

Any comments would be appreciated.

Cheers

Just the horizontal edge. The other bits just have to meet the normal radius requirements. Don't forget its 19mm radius not diameter!

Agree, just the horizontal. Also, my tester was clear that it was just the bottom. I had trimmed the edge with a small edge trim (!) then fastened some 50mm plastic water pipe along the lower edge behind the dash panel - almost out of sight. I was concerned that the edge formed by the bottom of the dash and the trim would fail as it was not 19mm radius at that point, but Mr SVA was clear that it was just the bottom edge and as such my water pipe did the job. Also does a good job of stiffening the dash panel

Cheers Simon.

Just had a look at your motor and I can see your dash which helps a great deal.
