success

Well I take it all back about DVLA, well the actual guy in the office as opposed the the faceless bunch in Swansea.

I went down yesterday and queued and finally got to see him. I took all the paperwork which he propsed there and then in about 10 minutes.

He said he needed to inspect the car and then noticed where I live. He needed to drive past there today to get to Macclesfield so oppoed in on the way and inspected the car!!!

Top man, took him all of 3 minutes but the registration process is done, just waiting for the documentation and tx disc in the post then I'm up and running.

To say I'm happy is an understatement

Tony

The leak was a combination of problems. firstly it was a jubilee clip that wouldn't tighten past a certain point and slipped, swapped for a new one.

Then when getting the emission done I noticed coolant on top of the inlet mainfold. This couldn't be from a hose, closer inspection revealed it was leaking from the automatic choke. Tightened up the fasteners and problem seems to be okay now (touch wood)

Cheers
Nigel
