Eye, good luck with the test, this was mine beginning of Dec 08

I was quite fun trying to find the markings on the pavement so he could do the rear view mirror test and the self centering was also quite interesting!

Enjoy the day, its not as bad as some may make out.

Cheers

Rich

I'm exhausted 5.30 starts in the snow do not agree with me.

FAILED.

can only be described as a good fail though

Tested be Jim nice guy who did every thing he could to enable a pass.

I had a couple of edges that would have taken about 2mins to fix but half way through the brake test the fronts started failing, I've not had a look yet but it must be either the M/C or balance bar.

Consequently still not sure on set up before pinning the bar, which Norwich will not let us do there so I'll have to take a chance and pin before going for retest.

I called in at Ipswich DVLA on the way home, cor it is tight in there car park, Nicola was very helpfull and age related plate on the way as soon as they have a MAC in their hand, hopefully next wk.

bad luck with the fail but not to much to sort out.
it's daft that they won't let you set up the brakes then pin them, surely that's the safest way

Apparently it's because of, yes you've guesed it "HEALTH AND SAFETY" they don't like drilling etc on site.

If it stops raining/snowing I'll get to have a look on Sunday and try for a retest next week.

I took mine down to my local MOT station to test the brake resistance at each end, then set it accordingly.... same with the headlights and tracking .....
