GB TV on line in Turkey

A friend is going to Turkey for 3 months and wants to be able to watch some online GB TV, however, all of the TV sites will only allow access from a GB based IP address, is there a way to get round this?

A sling box would do the trick.

A UK-based proxy service may be one answer. But their Turkish ISP / local authorities may raise a few eyebrows. Open proxies are frequently exploited by all sorts of less salubrious individuals...

Or there might be some offline-recording / streaming software that would do it. They'd have to consider how legal any of the above would be in the UK / Turkey.

It is possible seemingly but with this option you'd have to pay to do it.
