Hazard warning light

Hi guys,

I got my wiring finished tonight, however it then dawned on me that although my hazard lights work with the ignition off the 'tell-tale' light I was using was the green indicator light on my digi-dash which obviously doesn't work with the ignition off!

I presume it is a requirement that the tell-tale light also works with the ignition off? If so how have people using a digi-dash got round this? I'm using the savage hazard switch.

Thanks,
Paul

if you are using a savage hazzard switch it has an LED in it just wire that off 1 of the outputs to the indicators.

Why don't you use the savage switch for SVA?

You could easily wire it to flash with hazards for SVA then just change it after SVA if you don't want the savage switch to flash?

Thats exactly what I was thinking I could do, I just wasn't sure if that was allowed! If its ok for the tell-tale light to be the hazard switch flashing red then I can do that no problem!

Cheers guys,
Paul

If you have two tell-tales one for each indicator side then you don't need any other, as long as they both flash on hazard.

The problem is mine don't flash with ignition off as they are through the digidash which needs power from the ignition! I'll just wire the led in the savage switch to flash and that'll hopefully be ok!

Alan are you in N.I. looking at your username!?

No I'm Nottinghamshire based but my prefered username had already been taken & this was a plate I had on my car at the time. I wish I'd kept it now, but had to sell car quickly & let it go, I'm after an ALZ one but for some reason they seem to go for more money over here.

Ah I see!

I'm not sure how much an ALZ reg would cost over here, wouldn't be a common reg!
