Oulton Park - 28th March 09
I know Danny from MK is racing on Saturday 28th March and that some are going to watch.
As its only up the road (and weather dependant) I was going to watch as well and take my MK.
Is anyone else going and do you need to buy tickets for the race?
I know some of you had been following his testing

I am going but.................
I am marshalling at the race so no idea where I will be until the day.
My 12 year old is starting marshalling this year so we will probably be in the pit / assembly areas but no guarantees.
Paul has put the link to Oulton above so you could get the tickets that way, but normally you can get tickets on th eday at one of the booths. Very
useful if the weather is attendance is based on the weather.
Normally the club racing makes for a good day out...
Let me know if anyone is going and, schedule permitting, I can try to meet up with some of you.
Doubt very much that I will be in the Indy though, as I think I have just sold it.....!!

HI Guys
Just to confirm that the MK Indy Team will be racing at Oulton this weekend.
The cars to watch out for are No 3c Chris Maries and No 90c Danny (from MK), should be good races ( yes 2 races double header ) and a full grid of 32
cars.
You can't miss us in the paddock we will be the one take most of it up lol, 3 campers and trailers plus 4 cars the 2 indy's and 2
westfield's so pop across and say hello you probably know the Mk lads plus we will be looking after Chris's car.
look forward to seeing you there

completed.

Cheers Matt, looks like a mixed bag of results.. The MKs seem to have qualified fairly well, then looks like there were problems.
Cam got a dnf and an 8th, I think he'd be chuffed with the 8th..
Chris Allinson had a consistent weekend in the mini, two 4ths.

Hi Guys
Where do i start ?
the weather was useal for the first race at oulton rain and more rain lol
Qualifiing went well chris 4th and danny 14th
the 1st race well after a good start from both cars chris was 2nd into the first corner but by the end of the first was lieing 5th with z cars chris
in 4th , chris managed to get passed him but only to spin putting him back behind Chris A again but with Chris M right behind him but could not get
passed because of Chris A blocking therefore both made contact sending Chris A into a spin and Chris M losing the nose cone and bonnet but carrying on
but also dislodging the transponder so the time and postion where all to cock , Chris M finshed 4th overall and not Chris A. has a result of the
coming together both where called to the clarke of the course with Chris M getting 2 points on his liecence but keeping the win etc...  .
I belive Danny engine blew up which the guys from MK replaced but the timing was out due to different ecu so he never made it to the 2 nd race shame
.
The 2nd race for Chris M started well but 4 laps in due to the battle with Chris A in the 1st race a rosejoint broke at the back sending it to a wild
ride so Chris M tells me lol .
back to the workshop now to repair damage and replace rosejoints etc.. and will be back out at cadwell 26th April.

I wonder if there was a camera in the Z cars mini...  could make interesting viewing.

Sounds like there was a real battle,shame I could not make it to Oulton park,I think both of the MK“s have done very well,with it being Dannys 1st
ever race,I will look forward to the video“s,and I will be at Cadwell on the Sunday the 26th for round two

Not sure what conclusions to draw, defensive driving, hugging the inside line to make the overtaking car go the long way round?
