It's all about having the fastest car!

Last year, according to the media, it was all Hamilton Hamilton Hamilton

Button, who's that then?

Perhaps now the media will pay a bit of attention to what sort of car the driver has.

It's a mixture of having the fastest car and being a good driver.

The fact that the Toyotas started at the back and yet Trulli still came third and that despite ballsing up his start and doing his best not to finish Crash Bandicoot managed to come second suggests that some cars have an overwhelming advantage....

Still don't understand how you can have a curved horizontal.....

Button is a far better driver than Hamilton.

Always has been, and always will be.

I think that it is more about the car than the driver, given the right car at least 14 of the drivers on the grid could take the championship.

Having said that, it's just reward for Jenson and Rubins for sticking with the team and puytting up with all the negitave press.

I agree, much as it obviously takes skill to drive at that speed around those tracks, if you have a faster car you're gonna win - it's just like horse racing, 90% horse - 10% jockey.

Hamilton came first overall last year, Button 18th. This year, race 1, Button came 1st and hamilton 15th on the grid. The only thing that changed was the cars.

You never know, Tacuma Sato, backmarker to the stars, might actually be a brilliant driver. We may never know.

i think jenson button did very well, it does show that the drivers are all quite well matched it is the cars which make a massive difference.
That said i do think Lewis Hamilton drove a very good race; if you watch the vid of the 1st corner incident, he backed off sat behind everyone and picked his way through. then on his first stint was drilling everyone, inside, round the outside, very impressive to watch. And yes the car is pap at the moment but smart driving and a bit of luck worked out well and in the end got 3rd spot!
