Stoneleigh from upt norf

I'm thinking of going this year and camping there, anybody else driving down?

Maybe.... "We can get ourselves a convoy"

If other are, maybe we could meet at the new Wetherby sevices? Date & Time??

Cheers

Rich

I'll be heading down there from Newcastle. Me and the boy are planning on camping too.

Could make it a Saturday drive down, camp Sat night, and drive back up on Sunday afternoon.

Its a Sun.Mon show so why are people going Saturday and only camping the one night?

Would driving down Sunday, camping Sunday night, drive back Monday not be better?

I'm planning on going down Sunday and camping overnight (its a fiver to camp btw, its ok to pay on the day) drivers free, passengers £15. AA route planner reckons it will take me
2 hr 40 minutes and distance is 142 miles from Knaresborough. You can get on the camping field from 12:00 on Saturday.

So what about meeting up at Wetherby services at 10:00 and stopping at various locations en route? Reckon we'd get there about 15:00 in time to have a quick look round and then fire up the disposable bbq's and then have a few shandy's.

How does this sound? If ok, who's meeting at Wetherby? u2u me and I'll create a list. Like wise others that want to meet further down let me know where you suggest we stop and meet up and we'll see if we can put something together.

Cheers

Rich

I'll leave Newcastle around 8.00 am, stop at Scotch Corner at 9.00 am. Should get to Wetherby by 10.00 am comfortably.

Cheers

Mike

Thats it then, I'm coming down with Mike. You want to see her face

Mike? just you and me or anybody else from here?

14 miles of 50mph on the M1 so i suggest going down the A1 towards Newark then down the A46. No extra miles just better roads

Steve

I am hoping to go on the Sunday, not camping though. There may be a few others from the Hull area also.

I'm going for the 39c Locost Car Club even though I'm not a member! The Locost Car Club website doesn't seem to have been updated since 06 so I don't think they'll mind!!

See ya there (Steve you coming down with Mike if so I'll see ya at Wetherby at 10:00)

We camped at Stoneleigh a few years ago. Just turned up and paid on the day.

I think 39 seems to be shared between the Locost Car Club, F27 Owners, MK Sportscars and the Historic Specials.

I recon that covers most of us!

Mike

Yep, can Yosam join us on the A1 and then pick up DRC further down.

Everyone agree with the A46 route instead of the M1?

Us folks from around East Yorkshire will most likely be coming across via the M62, so if times are right we'll have to pick you up somewhere alomg M18/A1

Si,

I have posted on the E.Yorks thread but I would be up for meeting a convoy. I think the 1st services after A1 and M18 meet are the Blyth services.

What do you reckon?

Hey guys
I'll make one in with swmbo at Blyth too, also should have the inlaws along for the ride in their cob (so long as no one minds!) Don't be alarmed tho If we drop out of the convoy should it end up being a little spirited, My ribs are still sore since the last time I took the mrs out for a blat! It was worth it tho

john.

B.t.w. where are peeps planning on camping? by the mk bit again?
