It's a broken prop?
Is there some detail available, is it a bike engine?
What caused the failure?
Is there a lesson to be learned?

John, search on previous threads with woodster. its all to do with spd, best you read up about that bit as opposed ot us explaining it.
it is a bike engine and that is supposed to be a prop adapter! the car never passed sva as was ringed , then sold and then this happened on track! -
[allegedly]
Ned.
beware, I've got yellow skin

I'm amazed that any engineer would feel that the other end of the 'adaptor' doesn't require support before the UJ.....

Thanks for the pic saves 1000 words
That pic says it all......
Lessons to be learned here gents.
In critical applications the best way is to go to someone like Chris Allison @Z cars who has had all the testing and finding out wot works an wot does
not. Looking at that lump of iron hanging on the end of the a shaft designed to hold a sprocket no wonder it failed. We had a shaft fail on a honda
quad with 35 hp.....what can a hundred plus do.

Oh!!!!
I've just come from a U2U message from woodster via the "Sexuality" thread and think I know how to resolve this.
1) Reattach shaft to gearbox using adequate supports and retainers.
2) Disconnect other end.
3) Insert other end into rectum of proprietor of an obviously un named kit car company.
4) Start engine.
5) Engage 6th gear.
6) Accelerate to 12000 rpm.
7) Let out clutch.
I've not done the calculations for total power output, but would suggest that there may be loses due to friction, particularly if allowed to run
dry at the RING!!!
OOOOOOOOOOOOCH

They maybe"unamed" but most of us know who they are.
At least
Some People Do.

Note to all: I really don't know when to leave well alone. I tried to get clever with the mods, then when they gave me a lifeline to see the
error of my ways, I tried to incite more trouble via u2u. So now I'm banned, never to return again. They should have done it years ago!
