Safety Car Crash

Sorry if this is a repost

Safety Car Crash

UNDERSTEER is when you hit the wall with the front of the car.
OVERSTEER is when you hit the wall with the rear of the car.
HORSEPOWER is how fast you hit the wall.
TORQUE is how far you take the wall with you.

don't write OT on a new thread title, you're creating the topic, everything you write is very much ON topic!

the full incident is seen at 1.40, if you want to save a few mins!

Who ended up getting blamed? The SC did pull out rather slowly!

The safety car driver, plus all the officials involved in its management and control, I believe.

I've been told that in WTCC, the rules state that in the event of the safety car going out, racing continues until the cars have reached the saftey car, rather than them having to maintain positions/no overtaking. Is this true?

Safety car driver didn't wait for the official go but went as soon as he was told he was going out. Person who ordered it out wasn't the problem.

See the full inquiry result I posted in David's thread.

Safety car would have failed SVA/IVA and surely must have a design fault.

Doors iirc are supposed to have "antiburst?" latches so they can't be opened by a crash.

Feel free to contradict as I'm sure I read this many years ago.
