Ask them when they are coming to pick it up, and then put a non-payment strike against them and claim back costs. A total PITA, but since 95% of eBay
users seem to be mentally retarded, unfortunately you have to expect this kind of behaviour.

Many people, as I've discovered in my business, are not that literate.

You can ban none-UK bidders from bidding on your auctions somewhere in the options when you list your items.

Which suddenly flips, pinning you underneath.

Yep, you need to set the preference, but its buried in the menus. you can also block bidders with less than certain feedback. have a search on ebay as
its in their help results.
just saying 'will post to uk only' even in the options when advertising does NOT stop it being open to non UK bidders.

I had the same problem recently, selling a rover v8 gearbox. Despite plastering the page with COLLECTION ONLY in huge letters, some guy in Norway
bought it, payed through paypal immediately and then asked me how I was going to get it to HIM!!!
Had enough of this dictatorship known as LCB. Gone elsewhere, not coming back. Kiss my ass ChrisW.

Unfortunately ebay insist it is YOUR fault for allowing those non uk bidders to buy stuff if you have not set your preferences correctly.
So, go to help and type in
Selecting Buyer Requirements
and these results will run through where the menus and options are. It will come into effect the next time you list something, it will NOT change any
of your current listings

I had a bloke from Italy buy a book from me. He did ask how much postage would be and paid it happily even though I stuck £3 on for him not paying
attention
yours, Pete
I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

I sold a 240V macerator pump to an American buyer once.
When it got there, he said, "this is 240V".
To which i repsonded, "course it is, that's the voltage here ".
When he started getting uppity, I suggested he sell it to a uk bidder.
As others have said, anyone who bids with there eyes closed and brain turned off - it's their own lookout.

Or would be if paypal didn't tend to find in favour of the buyer on virtually every occasion
