Prop shafts
Good morning everyone, and what a lovely morning is it too.
I'm finally at the stage where i want to connect the gearbox to the diff (can have some fun after that ). But as always I need some expert
advise.
My two questions are:
1) What do i need to measure to tell the prop makers? How do you work out how long it needs to be? If it makes any difference (and i think i might)
ive got a live axle at the rear.
2) Who makes quality prop shafts at good prices? Obviously I'm not going to go for something which is dangerous but at the same time i
don't want to be paying the earth.
Thanks,
Chris

Mines from Bailey Morris. Contact them and they'll send you a form/diagram to fill in all the relevent measurments on and return to them.

Another good firm is Dunning & Fairbank
They advised me to have plus and minus 20mm of travel on the slider with live axle.

you would be looking at about £130.00 for a prop-shaft.
I got mine from BM and it was made and delivered within a week.

mines from dunning and fairbank, was about £30 cheaper than bailey morris.
the measurement they need is from the diff flange to the gearbox oil seal
