On my beach buggy, I just got a motorbike holder and fitted it to the front wing, never had any complaints about it

Mines on a motorbike style holder.
- Crome back and glass front with a seal, screws to dashboard using one of the tonnue poppers and holds it against the bottome left corner.

The law says it should be on the near side of the vehicle above a certain height and be clearly visible from the pavement when the car is parked.
Ideally in the bottom left corner of the windscreen.
Mine was in a motorcycle style holder bolted to the LH side of the scuttle. I didn't get any complaints.

Just stick it on the outside of the screen.
The thieving scum will scratch the inside for ages trying to get it off.

Plenty of screws that go all the way through would be easy to pinch if they had a screw driver but couldn't be ripped off.
