i dont understand these people who spend all there time cleaning the car rather than driving it
They must be wrong in the head 
A car is for driving (and picking up women) and that is it

I love the way they call washing and polishing the car "detailing".

It's not working for me, just going back to their forum homepage.
If it's the same one I've seen before, wasn't it a white astra vxr nurbigring edition?

got to admit that when I first heard about all of this cleaning, i thought what a load of nonsense and that companies were just making money from
cleaning products.
however, my friend has some of these "detailing" products (no, not the £500 carnuba wax) and he came over to mine and went through the
cleaning, polishing and waxing process on my tintop... the difference is very noticeable!!
though i dont think I'll spend as much time on cleaning as some of the guys on that forum do!

i do detailing at my garage lol. the stuff cost me a load but you really can tell the difference if you polish and wax by machine. plus you can get
light swirl marks out and light scratches and make the car paint look like brand new. after you have done your first good detail you get addicted.

that has to be the most famous one!!! He wasn't hapy when he found a paint drip in the paint - he thought about taking back before deciding he
could 'correct' it!

you forgot having a sh$g in the back
Personally I consider it all that detailing a bit pointless, all that work just to go out and have the car covered in dead flys and dirt within
minutes of driving it. As much use as a show car that’s trailer all the time but 'too' good to use for its proper purpose.

I have never understood the obsession to wash cars - generally I wash mine about once a year,or after being on a particularly muddy road, - I find
that no matter how bad the car looks after a few years - when it's time to sell it a good wash and polish gets it looking like new again - in
fact it generally looks better than many better cared for cars.
Always felt that 10 km after you wash a car it looks like it was never washed.

I can't understand it. Cars are for driving. I only ever wash my kit car if I'm going to a show and that's only cos it looks a bit
embarassingly sheddy otherwise!!

How many of them spend time building their cars instead of driving them?
To truly appreciate a well detailed car, you need to see them in the flesh. On a car that is completely painted, i.e without ali panels, it can llook
mint.

Admitadly, im not as bad as i used to be.
I used to have an old fiesta (mk4) which i used to clean 4 or 5 times a week and polish 2 or 3 times a month.
Now i wash my car once per week (more in the winter) and polish it every 1 or 2 months.
How long can i resist the temptation to drop a V8 in?
