Have to go back 3 times per page

OK, this is an odd one.
On this forum, since about mid last week, whenever I view any thread, to go back to the previous page I have to hit 'back' 3 times.
I have a 'work' PC running windows and every page on this forum I have to go back 3 times per page. But my home PC running Ubuntu is still fine.
No other websites on my work PC are affected.

Any suggestions to what is causing this weird occurance?

Same for me on both office and home computer.
There is a panel appearing at the bottom of the open page saying something about 'you do not have permission to access this page'.
Click 'back' and this panel goes black, click 'back' twice more and you return to the previous page. Very strange!

Hi,

Seems in my case it's down to which operating system the computer is using.

I get the same problem if I'm using my old laptop using Win 98SE, but fine on the desktop with XP and the wife's laptop running Vista.

Fine on Linux Mint (Firefox), XP (IE and FF) and on whatever browser is on my Google G1 phone (FF variant, I think).

I think the black panel is a broken link to some ads (Google thread-specific ads, maybe?)

Oooooeerrr!

No problems here...just the black box where a sponsor/google banner used to be.....

Running XPpro, Firefox 3.5.3 en-GB on this one, also ok in IE (not the latest version).....

Other Lappy and both Desktops running as above and they are fine...

I will mention it to the Boss

Ditto, no probs here. Just the black box where the ads were. (XP Pro on WPC)
