Which quickrack?
My sierra rack has 4 turns lock to lock. I'd like a quicker rack for spirited road use, but which ratio do I need? I don't want it to be
too twitchy just a bit quicker. What are the options 2.8, 2.4 ?????
If any of you have upgraded to a quickrack, can you describe the difference you felt when driving? Just to give me some ideas.
Any other advice?
Why do they call Port Harcourt "The Garden City"?...... Becauase they can't spell Stramash.

There's always a general perception that the quicker the rack the better.
My opinion is that the rack should be quick enough that you don't have to take your hands off the steering wheel for all but the tightest of
corners.
A friend is currently fettling a rally design qr for me at the moment - either 2.8 or 2.9 can't remember which - which will mean I can get my
car round a track without moving my hands of the wheel and without the twitchiness of a quicker rack.

I have a 2.4 lock to lock on my Viento.
It scared me at first, as at 70mph () I was all over the lanes on the road. ie it was hard to keep in a straight line.
Now 3 years on, I am used to it, and would never go back to a std ratio rack.
So dont get put off if it being a bit sensative to start with. Persevere, and be careful and learn how it drives. You will then reap the rewards.
Its worth the effort.
PS... I was used to driving a 24 year old Land Rover, so was used to 1/2 a turn of free play before any reaction from the car changing
direction
1. The point of a journey is not to arrive.
2. Never take life seriously. Nobody gets out alive anyway.
