Anybody fancy a Beetle

A beautiful 1967, 1302 VW Beetle for sale

This car belonged to my Uncle and has stood in his garage for the previous 15 years, he's now a bit too far past it to give it the love it deserves. My wife wants to keep it but i'm too tall to drive it so whats the point..

The car has been beautifully restored with a fully reconditioned 1600cc engine running on twin Dellorto carbs. Has Porsche Bumpers front (with integral indicator and fog light) and rear. Has a Triumph dashboard fitted, which i believe looks better than original. All bodywork and paintwork (gunmetal black) is in absolute pristine condition and has to be seen to be appreciated.

I have carried out some minimal maintenance / servicing on the car to gain MOT, but apart from that it doesn't need anything else. Also free road TAX....

Gonna advertise it on here and Haynes forum for a couple of days before it goes on Piston Heads....Looking for £6.5k, will advertise it for £7k on Piston Heads.

If anybody is interested then please let me know before it goes elsewhere. This really is a beautiful car if you like Beetles.

Regards...Andy

I cant manage to get pictures attached to the post, if you want to see some pics then please have a look on the Haynes Forum site......OR i can e-mail you some - andrew.hugill@ntlworld.com

Jeez dude, how tall are you?
I started my working life working with a guy about 6'6" tal and he bought a beetle because it had more headroom and legroom than most cars. Admittedly that was 1963, but cars seem lower these days.
Oh, and coppers are younger as well.

Sorry to hijack your thread, but this may be of interest....

My son's 30 - year old GF has earlier this year managed to find a beetle she has been seeking for some years - it is a 1953 'zwitter' which was restored in 1992 and is absolutely beautiful. If you look closely, you'll notice it has the split rear screen.

What do you think of 'him' ?
