How much for a new front panel????????

After the Bro-In-Law hitting the tyre wall on the track day today I need a new nose cone for my MK Indy, so any idea how much they are?

Here is the damage

Also, bloody gear linkage came loose so need to fix that at some stage...
Still, could have been worse!

Looks to be more or less in shape, so, glass the back to strengthen it then dig the shattered material and fill and paint?

This is the Locost Forum, £140 for a nose cone!, patch it up. That's the good point about f/glass. In fact it's the only good point about it as far as I'm concerned.

As a minimum Repair that one and swap it for trackdays, you wont feel as gutted if it happens again

They also do a free nosecone, so definitely locost trouble is you have to buy the comprehensive chasis kit

Downside is also they'll not want to post it to you either in case it gets damages in transit - I managed to get someone on here to pick my replacement panels up and bring them most of the way down...

Get the filler out, practise your technique ready for next time. That's just general wear and tear and shouldn't take up more than an hour of your time.

yours, Pete

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

That's not a tricky job!!! Just put some reinforcing woven matt on the back, mix up some pigmented flowcoat and slap it on top, sand it down and job's a good'un.
